Pet Policy

Yes, we are dog friendly! Private Room A & B allow 1 dog max. All other lodging allows 2 dogs.

  • Pets must be kept on a leash and may not be left unattended outside at any time.

  • Guests are responsible to immediately “clean up” after their pet. Noisy, vicious or unruly pets are not allowed and may be asked to leave camp without refund and may be charged up to $1,000.00 for any damages caused by a guest’s pet. Stanley RV is not responsible for, and will hold pet owner accountable, for any injury or damage caused by your pet. Stanley RV reserves the right to ask any guest to leave, without refund, if they do not follow our pet policy.

  • No pet beds in washing machines and no washing / showering pets in bathrooms.

  • No pets in kitchen/ dining room.

  • No pets on beds. If any linens are damaged from pets, the guest is held responsible.

Office Hours

Office hours 9:30-10:30am and 2-6pm.

Hours subject to change based on staff availability.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours: 10PM - 7AM (Sun-Th) ; 11PM - 7AM (Fri & Sat)

We simply ask that at quiet time you respect that neighbors may want to sleep or at least no longer be listening to other’s music and loud voices.

Cancellation Policy

  • 14 days or more before date of arrival: 90% Refund

Stanley Basecamp does not provide refunds for weather, smoke, fires, bugs, road closures or any other act of nature. Refunds will be provided if the campground is evacuated due to local fire activity. We do not refund for wifi or cell phone issues.

In the event that you must cancel with less than the 14 days’ notice before your date of arrival, shorten your stay, or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. Stanley is a remote location that is difficult for most travelers to get to with short notice. This is why we and most businesses in Stanley offer similar cancellation policies protecting our businesses from short-notice cancellations.

Cancellations are the responsibility of the guest. If sending an email, please be aware that the cancellation will not be guaranteed unless you have received a cancellation email confirmation. If you have not received this cancellation email confirmation after 24 hours of your notification to us, please reach-out again to guarantee your cancellation.

Stanley Basecamp reserves the right to cancel a reservation for any unforeseen reason. In the event a reservation cancellation on the part of Stanley RV is deemed necessary, we will reschedule at guest’s request based on availability, or cancel and refund your reservation in full.

Change Request Policy

  • Please email any change of date requests to stanleybasecamplodge@gmail.com. We aim to respond with a confirmation email of your change request within 24 hours (usually much sooner if we are in-season).

    • If adding one or more days to your already booked reservation: No Fee (*except for additional nightly stay-fees as applicable)

    • If removing day(s) from your booked reservation: 10% Fee (*calculated only to those days cancelled)

  • Date changes can only be applied 14 days or more before the date of arrival with no fee. Any removal of days from your reservation within 14 days of the date of your arrival our cancellation policy will apply to those removed days.

  • If you book new dates yourself online, then request us to cancel your original reservation our cancellation fee of 10% will still apply to the cancelled reservation. However, if you email us to change your dates, no fee will apply. See below for exceptions and clarifications:

Transferring a Reservation to Another Person

 Yes, you can transfer your reservation to someone else.

The person who made the reservation will need to reach out to us via email (stanleybasecamplodge@gmail.com) at least 14 days before the date of arrival. We will need contact information for the person that will be taking over the reservation so we can reach out to them. We will update the reservation to the new customer and verify their guest count. Failure to contact Stanley Basecamp to inform us of transferring the reservation may result in Stanley Basecamp not being able to accommodate the new customer.

Subleasing Lodging

 Stanley Basecamp does not permit the renting out or subleasing of lodging for commercial gain.

Group Policy

We do not rent the lodge to groups.

Events

No events or parties are allowed at Stanley Basecamp. We do not allow weddings or receptions. Stanley Basecamp is a small campground and we do NOT have a designated group space.

No-Show Policy

Reserved sites will be held for your occupancy until 11am the day after you are scheduled to arrive. If you have not arrived by that time or communicated with Stanley Basecamp about your arrival plans, guest will be responsible for the full amount of the stay with no refund given and your site may become available for booking by another guest.

Good Neighbor Policy

  • Quiet hours: 10PM - 7AM (Sun-Th) ; 11PM - 7AM (Fri & Sat)

  • Loud, amplified music is not permitted at any time. Please keep music to a level that your guests around you do not have to listen to it as well.

  • If your name is on the site reservation, then you are responsible for your guests and their behavior as well as their pets.

Please be courteous to other guests around you. Loud, objectionable noise is not allowed at any time. Profanity or violence will not be tolerated. Inconsiderate guests will be asked to leave.

Wifi (limited)

We offer complementary wifi. However, please be aware that due to the remote nature of our campground the wifi can be spotty/ slow and is intended for research and personal use, NOT for streaming or downloading large files. Video chat is also discouraged as it uses up the bandwidth from guests just wanting to check email and trail maps. We do not refund for spotty/ slow wifi.

Occupancy Guidelines

2 max people per room including all children/infants. The A-frame cabins allow children/infants. The lodge rooms are 21 and older.

Visitors

We do not allow outside guests to visit you while you are at camp. We have very limited space and parking and can not accommodate extra guests.

Car Policy

  • Car: 1 car is permitted per room. If you need an extra car spot, please let us know ahead of time. We have limited parking and can not guarantee a spot unless you reach out early and reserve an extra spot. It is $5 fee per night for the extra spot. If you need a trailer spot, it is $10 fee per night. We have very limited extra trailer parking spots.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed in any building. The provided smoking area is located in the large grass area in the front of camp.

A minimum cleaning fee of $500.00 will be charged to your account for breaking this policy. The non-smoking policy refers to cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, and burning of candles or incenses. Keep your cigarette butts off the ground and in a controlled container.

Drone Policy

We do not permit the use of drones on or over our property by guests. Please note, drones are banned from wilderness areas in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area.

Damaged and Missing Items

Any damages or missing items by you or your guests in your accommodations, as a result of your stay, will be assessed and billed accordingly to your credit card.

Taxes and Fees

All accommodations are subject to applicable taxes based on the nightly rate.

Idaho State Tax: 6%
Idaho State Hospitality Tax: 2%

Electric Vehicles

We have a designated EV charging parking spot. The fee is $20 per charge. No charging your EV unless you do not have a camper and you are sleeping in your vehicle. Please make sure you are booking a 50amp site.

Firearms

The discharging of firearms, BB guns, paintball guns, bow, knives and arrows, slingshots, or any devices that use burning powder, explosives, compressed gases, etc., is prohibited.

Fireworks

Fireworks are prohibited at camp including sparklers.

Fire-pits

  • Cabins have thier own private wood firepit. Firewood is provided.

  • The lodge has a propane firepit.

Security

Stanley Basecamp is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged articles. Report any problems with your site to your Camp Host immediately. We adhere to and maintain all state, county and local laws. The legal drinking age in Idaho is 21 years. ID is required by all persons purchasing or consuming alcoholic beverages.

Communications and Correspondence

By staying with us, you consent to receive marketing, promotional, and sales emails, as well as direct or automated emails regarding your stay with us. You may opt out of this correspondence at any time.

COVID-19

Lodging at Stanley rv and camp is available on a voluntary basis and guests who choose to stay at Stanley rv and camp do so by their own choice. Stanley RV and Camp LLC is not held responsible for any guest contracting the "COVID-19" virus while staying at camp and Stanley RV and Camp LLC and entities are held free and harmless from any loss, liability, damage, cost or expense which they may incur as the result of my stay at said campground.

Ownership rights

The Premises are privately owned and STANLEY RV + CAMP STAFF AND MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE to anyone for any reason except for those prohibited by law. Stanley rv + camp Staff and Management reserves the right to ask any person or party it deems necessary, to leave the campground based on violations of Park Rules or behavior management deems inappropriate or disturbing to others. I have read this notice and agree to it as well as all Stanley rv + camp Rules and regulations. In addition, I understand that I am responsible for the actions of all persons registered in my party, including any children, and any guests that visit during my stay. On behalf of each person in my party, I grant Stanley rv + camp the right to include any photographic, video and other visual portrayals of each person in my party in any medium and for any purpose. 

Release of Liability

In consideration for being permitted by Stanley RV and Camp LLC to participate in camping, I hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damages for personal injury, death or property damage which I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me, as a result of participation in camping. This release is intended to discharge in advance Stanley RV and Camp LLC (its officers, employees and agents) from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with my participation in RV / Cabin camping, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.

It is understood that this activity involves an element of risk and danger of accidents and knowing those risks, I hereby assume those risks. It is further agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assigns. I agree to indemnify and to hold Stanley RV and Camp LLC or entities free and harmless from any loss, liability, damage, cost or expense which they may incur as the result of my death or any injury or property damage that I may sustain while participating in RV / Cabin camping.

I have read this Release of Liability and Waiver Agreement, fully understand its terms, understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it, and sign it freely and voluntarily without any inducement. I understand the failure to comply with the camping rules will result in my immediate expulsion from Stanley RV and Camp.

FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS OF MINORITY AGE (under age 18, or such other age of consent as may be applicable in any given jurisdiction, at time of registration):

This is to certify that I/we, as parent(s)/guardian(s) with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree not only to the release above regarding this participant’s participation in camping at Stanley RV and Camp, but also for myself/ourselves, and my/our heirs, assigns and next of kin, to release and indemnify the Releasees from any and all Liability incident to my/our minor child’s involvement as stated above, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
