How private is everything?
The lodge consists of 4 private rooms and the shared kitchen/dining room. Each room has it’s own private, locked entrances. At any one time, there can be up to 8 people in the lodge. The fire pit, lawn, porch and hammocks are all community spaces that are available to all of our guests staying at the lodge. The bathrooms are shared by all guests staying at Stanley rv+camp, including the lodge and cabin guests. There are 6 bathrooms total. Each unisex bathrooms is its own lockable room (no stalls). The bathroom facility is connected to the lodge. Lodge guests are welcome to walk the entire property.
What is the relationship between the Stanley Basecamp Lodge and Stanley rv + camp?
The Stanley Basecamp Lodge is located within Stanley rv + camp. Stanley rv + camp is a rv campground with 25 rv sites located in a 5 acre wooded setting with amazing views of the Sawtooth Mountains. RVs are present in the area around the lodge, but we find they add to the campground feel and energy. Everyone one is here to adventure in the area!
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we are dog friendly! Private Room A & B allow 1 dog max. Room D and room C allow 2 dogs because they are larger spaces.
Pets must be kept on a leash and may not be left unattended outside at any time.
Guests are responsible to immediately “clean up” after their pet. Noisy, vicious or unruly pets are not allowed and may be asked to leave camp without refund and may be charged up to $1,000.00 for any damages caused by a guest’s pet. Stanley RV is not responsible for, and will hold pet owner accountable, for any injury or damage caused by your pet. Stanley RV reserves the right to ask any guest to leave, without refund, if they do not follow our pet policy.
No pet beds in washing machines and no washing / showering pets in bathrooms.
No pets in kitchen/ dining room.
No pets on beds. If any linens are damaged from pets, the guest is held responsible.
Can I bring my children?
The lodge is 21 and older. Because the kitchen is shared there is often alcohol in the fridge. The kitchen is unsupervised and because of our Idaho issued alcohol permit we can not allow anyone under the age of 21 in the building.
Can I check in early/check out late?
Yes! For a fee, we can offer a 2pm check-in or a noon check-out. Head to our guest portal to purchase the add-on.
Can I bring extra guests or have visitors at camp?
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate extra guests or outside visitors at camp. It would overcrowd the facilities.
Can I rent the entire space?
We do not rent to groups.
Can I host my wedding/event here?
Unfortunately we’re not set up as a venue space and are unable to host events unless you rent the entire campground included all lodging.
What is your cancellation policy?
14 days or more before date of arrival: 90% Refund
Stanley Basecamp does not provide refunds for weather, smoke, fires, bugs, road closures or any other act of nature. Refunds will be provided if the campground is evacuated due to local fire activity. We do not refund for wifi or cell phone issues.
In the event that you must cancel with less than the 14 days’ notice before your date of arrival, shorten your stay, or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. Stanley is a remote location that is difficult for most travelers to get to with short notice. This is why we and most businesses in Stanley offer similar cancellation policies protecting our businesses from short-notice cancellations.
Cancellations are the responsibility of the guest. If sending an email, please be aware that the cancellation will not be guaranteed unless you have received a cancellation email confirmation. If you have not received this cancellation email confirmation after 24 hours of your notification to us, please reach-out again to guarantee your cancellation.
Stanley Basecamp reserves the right to cancel a reservation for any unforeseen reason. In the event a reservation cancellation on the part of Stanley RV is deemed necessary, we will reschedule at guest’s request based on availability, or cancel and refund your reservation in full.
